Best known for role in the Disney flick High-School Musical, American singer and actress, Kaycee Stroh, is engaged to production company owner, Ben Higginson. The proposal was somewhat unexpected, the 23-year-old actress admits. The two were on set of a new movie when Higginson popped the big question. “We shot from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., and Ben was waiting for me in my trailer. He was waiting for me with a single red rose. Then he took me up to the H Rock, a place at the top of a little mountain that overlooks Salt Lake City, and we watched the sunrise. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.”

While Stroh was blown away by the sudden proposal, she was most mesmerized by the ring that Higginson slipped onto her finger. “It’s a princess cut solitaire diamond surrounded by pave set diamonds. I don’t ever want to take it off!” The two returned to the set of the third installment of High-School Musical, where Stroh shared the news with costars Zac Ephron, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Grabeel, and Monique Coleman. Stroh knew that everyone would be surprised and excited that she and Higginson, 24, were finally tying the knot. “They all love Ben. He’s like one of the gang,” Stroh says fondly.

Stroh and Higginson met at a concert only a year ago in Salt Lake City, where Higginson owns his production company. He is very supportive of Stroh’s career and admires her many talents which she demonstrates in all of her onscreen roles. As a professional dance instructor for the Thompson Lane Entertainment Center, Stroh has no trouble playing the part of a smart girl on High-school Musical who secretly likes to pop & lock & jam & break. She’s also guest-starred in the Suite Life of Zack and Cody and accepted an honorary award for the success of High-school Musical at the Teen Choice Awards.

Stroh is also an active participant in the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, and United Cerebral Palsy. In her free time, she has made editorial contributions to Tiger Beat magazine, played the role in a flick that went straight to DVD, and was a model for the online trailer Torrid.

Stroh and Higginson have decided to tie the knot sometime towards the end of 2008, and plan on only inviting close friends and family.
