Every bride wants to be gorgeous from head to toe on her wedding day! The following beauty tips will help make sure she will be picture-perfect.

• Schedule a facial a few months before the wedding (just in case your skin has a reaction). If need be, you can follow up with facials until week before the big day. Today’s nonirritating facials-packed with oxygen, vitamin C, seaweed, and essential oils- are great for stimulating the vital functions of the skin.

• Don’t forget the rest of you. Body treatments, like a power peel or seaweed body wrap, work wonders on rough spots on the back, chest, elbows, and knees- and help you relax, too!

• At home, use products that mimic prescription and spa remedies. Wash twice a day with gentle cleanser. Use A.M. moisturizer with SPF-15 and alpha-and beta-hydroxy acids to reduce the appearance of fine lines. At night, treat skin to a more intensive moisturizer that will work hard while you sleep.

• Keep a cool head. Though that sounds tough, especially with all the things you have to get done before the big day, remember that stress can trigger the hormones that affect acne.

• If you plan to use a professional artist, it’s a good idea to book her about four months before the wedding, and to experiment with colors and techniques at least a month before the date.

• To find out your makeup style, collect magazine photos of makeup looks you love. It’s also helpful to bring a good picture of yourself so the artist can see how you normally photograph, to help determine which features to play up. Also bring a picture of your wedding gown and hairstyle, if it has been determined already.

• Do color rehearsals. Try different makeup palettes.

• Your nails should be in great shape so you can show off your beautiful ring. Give your nails a buff and shine every couple of days.

• Once a week add polish. Stick to more conservative colors. You don’t want people looking at your bright red nails instead of you.

• If you are going for acrylic nails, test them two weeks prior to the wedding to prevent allergic reactions. Keep the length no more than ¼ inch from your fingertip. Go too long, and you will look like a cartoon character.

• Get your manicure the day before the wedding. Your hands will look great for the rehearsal dinner and you will have one less task on the big day.

You will want to look like yourself-with just a little more oomph!
