If you loved Kate Middleton’s ‘english rose’ bridal hair and makeup look and want to copy it for your wedding day, then here is how she did it!

Her Hair:
Her trademark brunette hair was actually boosted with hair extensions on the wedding day. Kate choose hair dresser James Pryce of top salon Richard Ward to do her bridal hair and James thickened her locks with ethically sourced extensions. The reason why extensions were used is because Kate was concerned that the style would drop as the wedding day continued.

Her hairdresser and stylist ran many trial sessions before the big day both on Kate and another model with similar hair. Originally they wanted Kate to wear her hair in a similar style to that of Grace Kelly to compliment her wedding dress but Kate insisted that she wore her hair down so that Prince William would recognize the woman he had fallen in love with.

Her Skin:
When it comes to the perfect bridal look, having radiant skin and a perfect bridal glow is what most brides aim for. Kate achieved this perfectly thanks to bee venom, courtesy of her new mother-in-law, the Duchess of Cornwall. Apparently Camilla has been using Deborah Mitchell’s face masks, which contain bee venom from New Zealand and gave a pot to Kate to try. She was so impressed with the results she booked treatments at Deborah’s salon which include lymph drainage, massage and acupuncture. According to source’s the bee venom is nature’s answer to botox!

Her Makeup:
It may come as a big surprise to many that Kate planned to do her own makeup and she took lessons in cosmetics from the celebrity makeup artist Arabella Preston. Although she had wanted to do her own bridal makeup, Kate in the end opted to have Arabella there on the morning of the wedding. So here is what she used to create that beautiful perfect bridal look:

• Kate is a big fan of MAC cosmetics and used Mac foundation mixed with Deborah Mitchell’s Heaven Silk Skin tinted moisturiser in caramel.
• Her eyelids were plumped with bee venom cream and her eyeshadow is thought to have come from the Make Up Store. She used MAC’s waterproof Splashproof Lash Mascara.
• The rosy glow on her cheeks was thanks to MAC’s Powder Blush in pink simply brushed across her cheeks.
• Kate’s lipstick was also from MAC and was applied over a coating of Pro Longwear Lipcreme and set with Make Up Store translucent powder.
