In the second of my articles on planning your wedding theme, I give you the final four steps to go through as a guide to wedding planning and designing your dream wedding look.

6. Finalize your design: once you have concluded your draft look book you should next look to move from the inspiration and ideas you have gathered to finalizing the details and creating your wedding theme. This is possibly the toughest part of the planning, especially if you are struggling to see your vision and commit yourself to it. A good tip is to take your favourite ideas and create mood boards to give you a guide to what a finished theme would look like and how different details will work together.

7. Source and create: now you have your theme planned out it is time to source suppliers and place your orders. This can include everyone from the caterers to the florist, to ordering your table covers and wedding favors. This is where you need to be realistic about how much you can afford to spend and just how much DIY you can afford to take on. If you want to make decorations, stationery and favors yourself then enlist the help of your bridesmaids and other friends to ensure you can complete everything on time!

8. Putting it in place: after all your hard planning and bringing all the details together, you do not want to ruin your hardwork by failing to put it all in place correctly before the big day! You may want to put everything in place yourself the day before you wedding or ask staff at your venue to do it for you on the morning of the wedding. If you trust others to put your wedding theme in place make sure you give them clear instructions to guide them as to where everything should go and how you want your venue to look.

9. Enjoy: one of the nice things about having someone else put everything in place is the surprise you will get on the wedding day when you step in to your venue. All your hardwork planning and designing your theme will come to fruition at that moment so do relax and enjoy it. Make sure you work with your photographer to ensure your favourite elements of your theme are present in your wedding pictures. Also keep your notebooks, mood boards, pictures and samples as keepsakes of your day.
