Creating scrapbooks and moodboards for your wedding theme is one thing, but you can end up limited for choice when it comes to images and samples to add. Purchasing every bridal magazine available is an expensive undertaking, not to mention the cost of printing images from the net. So wouldn’t it be great to find online wedding planning tools which allow you to create your own theme boards to print out?
The good news is that two such tools do exist and besides being a lot of fun to play with, they are so useful for your wedding planning that you really need to take a look at them. Aside from helping you to plan your wedding theme, they can also help you to create a list of suppliers making shopping for those little details like decorations and wedding favors much easier.
Check out these two online planning tools to help you with your wedding style, theme and color schemes.
1. Polyvore: some of you may have already stumbled on Polyvore as it has been around for a while now. Aside from being able to create your own online wedding compositions, you can check out other peoples and there are literally thousands to choose from. Polyvore is not strictly wedding based, you can create a board for just about anything you could think of, from your wedding outfit and accessories to ideas for your wedding gift list and even home interiors.
One of the best things about Polyvore is that it will create a list from the images you add to your composition giving you direct links to the vendors stores. There are already an extensive number of images available on this site, but you can add your own and ‘clip’ images from other sites to use in your wedding theme composition. It is free to use and you can save everything you create within your online account.
2. Dessy: Dessy have recently launched their ‘styleboard’ which is very similar to the Polyvore interface. You can simply add images from those provided which includes everything from the Dessy range of dresses and accessories, as well as other details like flowers, cakes, decorations and stationery. At present the range of images available is not as extensive as that found on Polyvore, but you do have the option of adding your own images.
Again this is free to use and you can save your creations through your account so you can access them at anytime.
Being able to plan your wedding themes, color schemes and details in this way is far easier, cheaper and more fun than sitting at the kitchen table cutting and pasting for days on end!
