Doing the same old thing isn't going to make your wedding a memorable and unique experience. You really can't stray too far away from the standard wedding guidelines if you want that traditional wedding setting, but there are many things that you can do to spruce up the festivities. The wedding shouldn't be so conventional that the guests never see or hear anything that they're not expecting. We're not suggesting riding in to the reception on the back of an elephant or having the bridal party wear funky outfits; the additions can subtly elegant. Don't feel apprehensive about straying away from the wedding formula, it will only make the event that more wonderful.
One way in which to accomplish this during the wedding ceremony is by doing a ceremony dove release. You may have heard this or seen it at someone else's wedding; it's a somewhat novel idea that couples are presently discovering. It's a great way to wrap up the concluding ceremony activities and will make for fantastic wedding photos. The doves are kept in ornate and white and wrought iron baskets and at the designated moment are released into the sky. Some dove wedding vendors have even managed to capture the ceremony dove release with photos that show the birds flying in a spiraling staircase right above a beaming bride and groom.
Doves are a symbol of heaven, affection, and mankind. They're the most spiritual animal in history and directly associated with angels and deities. Their significance is prominent and can be traced in Christianity, Judaism, Hebrew and Greek past. In a more real and direct sense, doves are affectionate animals that mate year round, kiss frequently, cohabit in one nest, and share the mother role by feeding their young. They resonate human existence in all of their natural activities as well as on a spiritual level. A wedding dove release after the first kiss as husband and wife would be an unexpected and wonderful surprise for your wedding guests.
If doves is a little much, then think about doing a butterfly release. Right after the officiant pronounces you man and wife, you could have your bridal party release the little butterflies into the air. Imagine pictures of monarchs flying around you and partner, settling in the bouquet and on his boutonnière. Butterflies are so delicate and will add the perfect touch to your wedding ceremony.
An option for a night wedding is to incorporate fireworks and light displays. This would be impressive in an open park or on the beach. Wedding light displays can tend to be a little costly but they're completely worth it. Imagine, your guests have just polished off their helpings to the fabulously delicious wedding cake and are either on the dance floor or pleasantly slumped in their chairs. You've made your rounds taking individual pictures with everyone and the night is slowly coming to a close. All of a sudden one firework springs up into the black sky and explodes in white and pink jets of light. It's followed by a ricochet of wedding light displays that burst across the horizon in multiple colors and shapes, dazzling the eyes of the entire party.
What a spectacular way to finish up your matrimonial affair. Everyone would be sure to remember that for the rest of your life. There are other elements in which you could add to make your wedding a momentous and special occasion. Look around and see what's out there.
