Every bride wants to have a dream wedding that they will treasure for the rest of their lives. There are many wedding ideas that you can use to make sure that the day is memorable. Planning for a wedding should start early enough to ensure that everything goes smoothly. Make sure you start about nine months or a year before your wedding date. Some of these ideas include:
Getting a great location for the wedding
This will be determined by the religion that you adhere to. The ceremony can be held in a church, cathedral, temple, hotel, chapel, garden your home or even a scenic beach. If you are having it in a temple or church you will need to pay for the person coordinating the wedding, the organist and the rooms that you will use for changing. Ask those in charge of the premises about the restrictions that are given regarding taking of photographs, playing music and use of decorations. Make sure that the parking available is enough to accommodate your guests. To save on costs you can use the same venue for your reception.
Photos
The pictures taken at a wedding are very special therefore make sure that you get a good photographer. The best photographer to use is one who specializes in wedding ceremonies. The person should be familiar with the location. You can have photos taken before the ceremony while you get ready or when you are just about to walk down the aisle. During the ceremony itself you can take photos when taking your vows, kissing the bride and signing your marriage certificate. At the reception, you can take photos while you cut the cake, toasting, and your first dance and when throwing the bouquet. A great idea that can save you money on photographs is giving each of your guests a disposable camera so that they take the pictures themselves.
The reception
Wedding receptions can be very expensive for you. This is because there are so many details to include from the site, drinks, food, music and decorations needed. The first thing you should know is that you do not need to go out of your way to please the people you have invited. It is your day and their just there to be part of your celebration. Have the reception early enough so that you do not have to give the guests dinner. A cash bar is another option you can use to save money. This involves the guests paying for the alcoholic drinks while you give them hot beverages and soft drinks. If you want to include dinner during your reception, look for cooking schools because they are cheaper will they still give you the same quality service.
Your wedding cake
The best thing is to order for one from a good bakery that deals with wedding cakes. Make sure you get the right size according to the number of guests that you have. You can select from the various flavors and fillings that are available. A friend who bakes can also come in handy at this point. This will be even cheaper than the bakery.

The wedding is over, and all the quests have gone back to their homes. You have just returned home from your honeymoon so you start seeing the different gifts you were given. Maybe you have been wondering what to do with that cake topper that forms part of that mess you are trying to tidy up. The topper added a unique appearance to the cake during the wedding, and now you do not know what to do with it. You cannot throw away since its price was quite demanding. Your cake topper can be of good use.
You can use your wedding cake topper as a decoration in your house. The cake topper can be displayed to bring out that creative appearance. You can place the topper on the table so that your quest can feel welcomed at the sight of that topper. The topper is not something large, so it occupies small space. Placing the topper on the table will always remind you of your wedding day. The sight of it brings out the good memories of that particular day, so you would not want to miss the thought of that special day. Moreover, if you continually use something that you use on your wedding, it constantly remains in your mind throughout your entire life. The cake topper in this case is not an exception and it is one of the things that many people tend to forget.
The wall of your house may be lacking some creative art. Therefore the cake topper can bring out this effect. You can put your cake topper in a box frame and you can also add some flowers that were used during the wedding. This idea is brilliant as it makes the walls of your house appear good to look at. Any type of cake topper you intend to use brings out the same results so you don’t have to worry on which type to mount. You can either choose from the dining or living room, whichever you think is the best idea for you. Alternatively, you can keep the cake topper for your children to use it during their wedding. Keeping something for your children shows how considerate you are. If this thing will be brought to use at a latter day, it will bring out those memories that could otherwise been forgotten.
Plan prior to your wedding on the type of cake topper you use so that after the wedding, you already know what to do with it. While you make your cake topper, use those things you know their use after the wedding. For example, you can use a small tree so that afterwards you can plant the tree to signify the growth of your coming together. This idea is also an excellent one for couples who are environment friendly. You can also reuse the cake topper in the coming wedding anniversaries, so you have not worry on looking for one when that time comes. Choosing a cake topper require one to know the use of it after the wedding is over to avoid wastages.
