Adding a wedding theme is a great way of coordinating the look of your day but coming up with wedding theme ideas can be difficult, especially if you want to do something different and personal to you.

Here are four ideas for wedding themes to help give you some inspiration:

1. Natural World: if you love the outdoors, have in interest in all things eco and want a more natural feel to your day then this theme is for you. Choose a color palette of warm ecru, chocolate brown and grass green to fit with a garden, park or woodland venue. Decorate with rustic wicker wreaths, wooden shapes like toadstools which could double as place cards and wedding favors and beautiful candles in colored glass holders and lanterns. Use recycled glass jars for vases and have your invitations printed on recycled paper.

2. Vibrant Fun: invoke a sense of fun and frivolity into your wedding with color palette of lime green, fuschia pink, purple and aqua blue. Decorate your tables with brightly colored cloths, glassware and bowls. Add ceramic plant pots for your table centers, mirrored colored glass tea light holders and exotic flowers like orchids and poppies. Again go for colored glass lanterns with tea lights and striking stationery with a contemporary feel.

3. Royal Mint: for a traditional, elegant theme with a Royal feel choose a palette of gold, ivory and white. Set your tables with elegant white and gold chinaware, gold platters and ceramic cruet sets. Add some gold foil chocolates in elegant glass bowls and give your guests mini cake favors decorated with edible gold and presented in gold card boxes. Elegant flat card invitations and beautiful white roses are just a few of the additional ideas you could add here.

4. Purely White: Go for the archetypal white wedding look with these ideas for this theme. Choose a palette of subtle white shades and accent with silver accessories. Use white chinaware and napkins set on silver charger plates. Use silver vases for your centrepieces and fill with beautiful white anemones for a simple arrangement. Taper candles in traditional holders and decorative ceramic napkin rings complete the look.
