Quite often we find ourselves falling under the spell of sentimentality, and this goes for women in particular. In many ways this is perfectly fine, but when it comes to the wedding dress it might be better to let go.
If you are planning a tradition of passing your gown on to children to grandchildren, then by all means, keep it. But this is becoming less of a practice now that future generations have more money, and choosing their own dress becomes more important.
When deciding to hang onto a gown you should ask yourself why you really want to. Are you doing it for a purpose, or just because you can't stand to let something you spent so much money and energy on go?
