• Cancer Survivor Given Free Wedding Photos In Surprise Gift

This is such a sweet story.

Melinda Muniz spent years fighting Leukemia, and during this struggle she wed her 10-year partner and father of two of her children, Christopher Jones.

But it was not a happy occasion in many ways. There was no ceremony, no reception, not even a chance to walk down the aisle. Instead, she was married by a priest in a hospital bed, weak and underweight, but she was dedicated to her survival.

Thankfully, she was able to recover and has been released a new woman. Thomas Jefferson's Kimmel Cancer Center was responsible for her treatment.

It was another former patient, photographer Jerry Tomko, who decided to surprise the woman and her husband, both of whom were strangers.

"I wanted to do something for a cancer patient or survivor, someone whose family or parents couldn't really afford really good wedding photos because of financial hardship or disease," the stomach cancer survivor told ABC News.

He asked doctors at the center if there was anyone he could give his services to. They pointed him in the ******ion of Melinda and Christopher, and he surprised them with a limo ride around town, where he took wedding photos of them in full wedding dress at various historic locations.

"It's so amazing there are people out there in the world, willing to do things like that," she gushed.

Isn't it nice to read a heartwarming story once in awhile?
