There has been a lot of speculation about why Conan O'Brien moved his show temporarily to New York. But now, that mystery might have ended after t the late night host confirmed that he will be marrying a gay staffer and their partner on the air.
“This will be the first, I believe, same-sex wedding performed on late night television,” he said last night to his audience.
The nuptials will be between Scott Cronick and his partner, David Gorshein. Scott has worked for years with Conan in costume design for his various shows.
I think this is wonderful. He has a position, and he is acting on it by bringing attention to that cause through action. All while supporting his friend and colleague in a state that has become the latest to legalize gay marriage.
