• The Curse Of Bridzilla: How To Stay Calm When The Pressure Is On

The proposal was magical and you are now engaged. This is such a happy time, one where you flutter about all aglow, becoming accustomed to the weight of the ring resting on your dainty little finger.

That is, until the planning begins.

Suddenly, you are under constant stress. The strain of making sure every detail is taken care of, everything perfect for the special day, crushing down on you like a ton of bricks.

Whether you are male or female, a bride or a groom, Bridezilla Syndrome is real, and it is a killer. So when you start to feel the panic sending you into a tale spin, here are a few ways you can calm yourself down, retract the fangs and start planning your wedding with a little less aggravation.
      • Get Some Help - Sometimes your spouse to be is not as helpful as you might like. Which is why it helps to have a friend, family member or even profession to take some of the responsibility. It is also nice to have someone who is as enthustiastic as you are, but can still keep you grounded.
      • Make A Budget - No one expects a wedding to cost as much as the reality. Even small affairs can be pricey, and the price tag is almost always the number one contributor to stress during wedding planning. Sit down and think up a reasonable budget that doesn't make you break into a sweat. Then start your search for vendors and products based on that list.
      • If You Don't Like Them, They Don't Come - This is a controversial one, I know. But if there is someone - a friend or relative - who you or your fiance are really against having at your wedding, don't invite them. It might cause some tension after the fact, but it isn't worth staining the memory of your nuptials. If you don't want them there, they just don't come. Period.
      • Just Relax - I know it seems like a lot to take on. But even if there is a problem at the wedding, it is only as big a deal as you make it. Be flexible, be calm, take a deep breath and remember that the important thing is that you have made a commitment and have a life ahead of you to share with the one you love.
