Eddie Griffin Ties the Knot In Vegas

When Eddie Griffin is not crashing into walls with borrowed million dollar sport cars, he spends his time in Las Vegas. Rather than your usual gambling trip, on September 8th, he and Nia Rivers got married which came as a shock to everyone. The famous actor and comedian is on his third marriage, the first one taking place in 1983 when he was 15 years old and the second one in 2002. If you don’t follow his personal life, you might be surprised to hear that even if he is only 43 years old, he has 9 children, the oldest one being 25.

Even the people at TMZ were caught off guard when Eddie, his now wife Nia, and four witnesses entered a normal Las Vegas wedding chapel. The $199 Cherish package purchased by the couple is about $50,000 less than people expected Eddie Griffin to spend on his wedding, but at least it included a limo and the wedding bouquet. It seems that this wedding was not planned in advance, so it is nice to see someone living life without spending years on preparations. The couple got engaged in June in Atlanta, at the top of the Westin building, in the revolving restaurant. After spending a few days in Vegas, they decided to go for it and get married. They have to find a babysitter for their 18 month old child, but after that the couple plans on going to Fiji, which will most likely make up for the small wedding. The couple will return from their honeymoon in their new 8 bedroom house which they purchased only a few months earlier.

So, if you want to give up on your expensive special day and go for it, you should follow Eddie Griffin's example and fly to Vegas before you change your mind. Sometimes even simple plans work out great and you don't have to spend months preparing.
