Sir Paul McCartney Gets Married

Sir Paul McCartney has had a tumultuous love live in his Beatles years and even after that he was still making the headlines. After two marriages, one that started in 1968 and one in 2002, it is time to turn our heads again and see what Paul McCartney has planned for his third wedding day. It’s been only 3 years since the court room decided that he has to pay $38.5 million to Heather Mills after their divorce went through.

Paul met Nancy Shevell in 2007 and they announced their engagement on the 6th of May 2011. While many couples would wait more than a few months before taking the plunge, it seems that this time the wedding is going to happen in the same year. Paul McCartney paid a visit to the Marylebone Register Office from London, which gives him the right to get married to Nancy Shevell anytime after the 30th of September. The event was described as a “small family affair”, but we will only know how small it was after it takes place.

Alison Cathcart is the person who is going to conduct the marriage of this famous couple, but this is not her first time dealing with celebrities. As the superintendent registrar of the Westminster City Council, she officiated the marriage of Barbara Windsor, David Williams and many other celebrities over the years.

Even if Paul McCartney plans on keeping it simple, I’m sure we will hear all about the venue, the wedding dress, and the event in general as soon as it happens. While most people speculate that the wedding is going to take place this fall, we might even have to wait until the spring of 2012 if the couple decides to spend a little more time on preparations.
