Thread: What type of engagement ring to choose?

The most popular choices would be platinum or white gold. Platinum is more expensive because it lasts longer than white gold

My husband proposed with a calgary diamond engagement ring. It looks simple but is very elegant and gives you a regal feeling when you wear it.

It is important to know the bride's preference. I mistakenly substituted mine, and bought a nice ruby from a very reputable friend who travels to Thailand often. I had it set in a simple but elegant gold ring and I thought it looked perfect. My bride, happy that I asked for her hand, accepted it graciously, but as time went along, I realized she really had wanted a diamond. If I was doing it over, I would try to get what she wanted, since she has to wear it.

Well, Platinum is the trend today, but I prefer the yellow gold. There is a big price difference between platinum and gold, and perhaps because of the quality of platinum.

I think heart shaped diamond solitaire ring in 18k White Gold would be the best option. These rings are liked by most of the people. But with many options online you can really select the best one which suits your choice. I will like to share one of the diamond pic on this thread.
