Lutheran Wedding Vows

Lutherans believe that Marriage is a gift of God, designed to reflect God's own relationship with the world: the acceptance and empowering of the other as a unique and valuable being, faithful commitment to the relationship, and willingness to offer patience and forgiveness in difficult circumstances.

The Lutheran marriage ceremony is set within the context of a service of worship involving thanksgiving, listening to God's Word, prayer and blessing.
