The Presbyterian practice is a branch off of the Christian denominations, however the theology behind the Presbyterian traditions are carried out in a more rigorous manner, much like that of the Catholic religions. The Presbyterian church places a high emphasis on the sovereignty of God, pays eminent respect to the Bible, and believes that the only way to attain grace is through faith in Christ. They have a high regard for order and decorum, and typically exemplifies the characteristic of careful conservative rigidity.
For these reasons it would be best to make sure that your wedding vows are first presented to the Presbyterian pastor for blessing, prior to the wedding ceremony. The rules may differ somewhat, depending on the church where you're having your wedding. Some churches may even necessitate that you use pre-approved wedding vows that fall in line with the religious codes and doctrines.
