I'm assuming you'd make a special e-version of your wedding invitation. I don't see why not! It's no different from sending an e-card for a birt**ay or anniversary.

Yes now a days I think it is acceptable to send all the invites via email....Because mostly people now a days are net savvy and it’s easy and economic way to invite guests....I sent all my save the date to my guests via email only.....I am also on budget and I saved a lot $$ by doing this and now planning to send my invitations also via email.....
