The most common wedding Toast" To the bride and Groom"

Wedding toasts are one way of expressing care and love for your loved ones. The most obvious common toast is " To the bride and Groom" but i have always thought that there is something missing in this phrase.... don't you think it should go like, " for the happiness of The Bride and The Groom". you know, something like Happly Ever after.....

I have seen the toast aimed at "a long and wonderful marriage" but I think something along the lines of "patience is reflection of a lasting love". Of course, that is based on being married. It might not ring right to the ear of the newlyweds. But the married couples in the crowd will likely appreciate it.

Browning's toast of, "Grow old with me! The best is yet to be." is timeless.

Timeless it is... and priceless too.I wonder why don't people go ahead for some research before giving a final shape to their wedding toasts and speeches. But as Sabon quoted Robert Browning, "Grow old with me" these four words are more expressive than a complete ballad.
Cheers to all the married and engaged couples!!!

I love that saying. I think it is priceless and timeless and is something that I plan to do with my fiancee. I can not wait to grow old with him and see what is in store for us.

Angie828 I wish you may grow old and beautiful with your partner, but i have an advice for you. When you wish to spend time with some you love the most, then you need to be prepared for all the difficulties your partner may come across and staying with your partner in times of tension is what really makes you beautiful, bold and old with him/her.
    Stay blessed!!!

I have been with my fiancee for 10 years now and we have had our ups and downs but have overcome so much. Thanks for the advice though but I am pretty sure we can weather anything.

I always feel that "to the bride and groom" should be followed with something more too. There's a traditional Scottish wedding blessing that goes "May joy and peace surround you both, contentment latch your door, and happiness be with you now, God bless you evermore." That's a nice way to round it off.
